British and Dutch African Caribbean academic success and social mobility

This study investigates academic success and social mobility among people of British and Dutch Black Caribbean heritage living in England and the Netherlands who have overcome structural and socio-economic challenges to achieve educational and career success. I am interested in the lived experiences of these two groups of citizens in the 'mother country' and the impact of such experiences on their educational and career achievements, their sense of identity, belonging and citizenship.

About the researcher
I am a British African-Caribbean heritage doctoral candidate at UCL Institute of Education, London, UK. I am able to travel to the Netherlands to interview participants. Interviews may also take place via Skype, whichever is more convenient for participants.
